Activity: Emergency Procedures
Lesson: PowerPoint Presentation: Emergency Procedures™PPT

A comprehensive morning covering emergency procedures for various scenarios. The “states of an
emergency” will be explained (DVEER), the ALARM method of response, and the red alert strategy using
emergency life-saving ACTS.

08:45 — 12:00 Control Training Centre
Activity: Emergency Procedures Simulations
Lesson: Practice various scenarios or mock emergencies, participant presentations

Students will take sections from the CCOM related to various emergencies and build presentations for
the class.

12:30 — 14:30 Control Training Centre
Activity: Emergency Procedures Simulations (continued)
Lesson: Finish practice session and review of training to date

Will also take a look at case use of Data logger in terms of Emergencies and Failures. Relevant T.O.N.s &
Restrictions.

15:00 — 16:30 Control Centre

Activity: Practice on Communications console systems
Lesson: With CCM approval students to practice on console systems with monitoring

This completes Day 9.
Students are encouraged to study ahead for Quiz #5 which will include all topics covered to date as well

as Emergency Procedures. Students should also be preparing questions or concerns to be reviewed prior
to writing the final exam. These questions will be addressed tomorrow on Day 10.
