There are no signs of active bleeding ulcers, given his Hb is normal and there is no hemoptysis or blood in the stool. We consulted GI who advised clear fluid diet times 24 hours with abdominal pain, repeat CBC in 3 days, H pylori screening, and pantoprazole 40 mg BID. We referred him to gastroenterology, Dr. Atkinson, for further management and consideration of out patient scope; per GI request he has been CBC. With regards to his 2-week history of presyncope, we are reassured by the results of his orthostatic vitals and Holter monitor. He wil follow-up with his famliy doctor for further management and to discuss the results of his out patient labs.
