Concern details:

Subject: Occupational Acoustic Trauma due to Engineering Control Failure I am a 25-year, heavy industry veteran with
professional experience (as a child) in recording studio acoustics. I am reporting an acute acoustic injury (Tonic Tensor
Tympani Syndrome/Acoustic Shock) sustained at Workstation 3, in the OMC1 Comms Training Room. This injury was
preventable; the employer operated high-output server equipment with side-panels removed, creating a hazardous 328 Hz
mechanical resonance. Prior Notice & Negligence: I formally identified this environment as hazardous and filed a Safety
Concern Form on Jan 22 2026, regarding persistent headaches. The hazard was not remediated. Consequently, my condition
progressed from systemic headaches to acute physical trauma, including stabbing ear pain and hyperacusis. Evidence &
Technical Validation: Using USB connected microphone, (Neewer Large-Diaphragm Condenser Microphone) calibrated against
440Hz and 1000Hz standards, I have quantified the hazard. My analysis confirms a massive energy spike at 328 Hz. Spatial
data proves my skull has been physically absorbing this energy (documented via a 70dB "Head Shadow" gap), resulting in
chronic neurological exhaustion. Functional Disability: On Sunday, Jan 25, I suffered a total neurological collapse. This resulted
in: Loss of Amenity: Physical inability to fulfill parental duties (unable to take my daughter swimming due to pain). Allostatic
Overload: 12 hours of non-restorative recovery sleep and inability to complete professional studies. Safety Paradox: I am now
being moved to a Control! Room. Because my duties require monitoring radios and alarms, standard "passive" hearing
protection is a safety hazard. I require medical accommodation (active level-dependent protection) to communicate safely
while my auditory system recovers. Please see the attached PDF(Mark_Holand...) for a detailed timeline, frequency spectrum
graphs, and photographic evidence of the unshielded server rack.
