2026-02-03 Worker Letter Introduction to Claim TL no F6 MARK HOLAND, Claim #42647461 e You plan to travel Follow up with your health care provider(s) as needed. Depending on the nature and extent of your injury, ask your health care providers (e.g., your doctor or physiotherapist) about activities you can do at work and at home to support your recovery, and any to avoid. 3. Understand your treatment options and when they may be covered e If you pay for any treatment for your injury while your claim is pending, we may be able to provide reimbursement. If your claim is accepted, contact your treatment provider to request reimbursement. They will normally bill us directly at our contract rates. e Goto worksafebc.com/health-care-benefits for important information about how and when treatments such as physiotherapy and chiropractic treatment will be covered. Please contact us before seeking treatment if you do not see guidelines on our website for the treatment you're considering or if you have any questions. e Once a claim is accepted, we pay for health care that is reasonably necessary to treat the accepted injury. To help ensure your treatment may be covered: e Contact us if you're receiving or considering more than one type of medical treatment (such as physiotherapy and registered massage therapy). WorkSafeBC does not necessarily pay for multiple treatments at the same time. e Before visiting a registered massage therapist for the injury, get a referral from your doctor. This allows WorkSafeBC to pay for it. e If you need physiotherapy, choose a physiotherapist that has a contract with us. These physiotherapists bill us directly and can give you an initial assessment at no cost to you, even before we accept your claim. To find a contracted physiotherapy provider, go to worksafebc.com/physiotherapy-provider-lists or call us. e If you visit a treatment provider who has not contracted with us, you will have to pay for your visit and seek reimbursement from us. If your reimbursement request is approved, you will be repaid at our set rate for that treatment and will be responsible for paying any difference. e Keep your receipts for any prescriptions, medical supplies, and other goods or services related to your claim, as we may be able to reimburse you. If you are in crisis If you are experiencing thoughts of suicide or self-harm, reach out to your doctor or nurse practitioner, go to your local emergency room, or call the WorkSafeBC Crisis Support Line at 1.800.624.2928.
