| work Eig BC WORKING TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE Memo (continued) Worker last name First name Middle initial WorkSafeBC claim number HOLAND MARK 42647461 My condition has not improved. It has progressively worsened: - Unintentional weight loss of approximately 1 Ib per week. | am currently 155 Ibs at 5 ft 9 in and continue to lose weight. - Severe functional decline. | was previously capable of completing the Grouse Grind. | am now exhausted by minor inclines. - Chronic sleep deprivation. In the past six weeks | have experienced two consecutive nights of 6 hours sleep on only one occasion. Most nights | receive fewer than 4 hours. - No REM sleep recorded across two weeks of independent monitoring. - Persistent left ear pain rated 8-9 out of 10 since January 22, 2026. Right ear initially 3-4 out of 10, now improving, confirming the injury is treatable with proper intervention. - Hyperacusis, dizziness, low blood pressure, low heart rate, no appetite. - Significantly increased migraine frequency and severity since the injury, requiring prescription migraine medication that is not covered under my extended health care plan, resulting in direct out-of-pocket costs. - Repetitive involuntary ulnar nerve firing in the left arm during waking hours, presenting as an electric sensation identical to striking the funny bone, occurring multiple times in succession. - Increased irritability and mood swings directly attributable to chronic pain, sleep deprivation, and unresolved injury. - Short term memory loss, reduced ability to focus and concentrate, cognitive impairment consistent with prolonged sleep deprivation and chronic pain. - All symptoms are predominantly left-sided, consistent with the acoustic geometry of Workstation 3 where the glass window reflected energy directly into my left ear. lam also an undiagnosed autistic spectrum individual, which | am pursuing formal assessment for through this claim process. Autistic sensory processing significantly amplifies the physiological impact of acoustic trauma. My nervous system experienced what colleagues perceived as background noise as a genuine and sustained physiological assault. INDEPENDENT SLEEP STUDY 68B33 (RO1/09) Page 4 of 7
