OMCI Simulation Room Noise Survey _ - 8 - 2044.20383.2026

7 DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSIONS

The purpose of this noise survey was to identify potential noise concerns related to the two
server racks located in the training simulation room on Level 2 of OMC1.

Three (3) initial spot noise measurements were collected: two (2) within the training
simulation room and one (1) in the open office area outside the training simulation room,
with the highest readings recorded at 65.7 dBA and a peak of 89.3 dBC.

Additionally, continuous data log was collected at the Southeast corner of the room near a
training simulation desk, approximately 1 meter from two server racks, from 7:34 AM to
4:12 PM (8 hours and 38 minutes). The projected 10-hour TWA was 57.6 dBA, with a
maximum recorded peak of 86.7 dBC.

Based on the noise measurements noted above, the measured noise levels are well below
the occupational exposure limit of 85 dBA and 140dBC and therefore indicate a low risk
of worker overexposure.

8 RECOMMENDATIONS

Based on sampling results, site observations and the site history, Arcose recommends the
following:

1. The continuous operational noise from the server racks was observed to be low in
intensity and is not expected to represent an occupational noise exposure risk based
on the noise measures collected. Additional sampling should be considered if the
equipment is modified or if additional equipment/racks are installed to meet
operational needs.
