e Under BCRTC procedures, employees are required to report safety concerns internally to
facilitate immediate assessment and mitigation.

Had RSS been notified initially, early measurements, support, or alternate work arrangements could
have been considered.

Internal RSS Spot Measurements

The internal RSS department conducted preliminary spot sampling at 2:00 PM on January 26, 2026,
around the workstation and adjacent server rack:

Location / Condition Measured Noise Level
Workstations 56-58 dBA

Ambient environment (typical) 50-70 dBA

Room silent (no communication) 50 dBA

Room peak during active communication | Up to 70 dBA

Server rack behind workstation 62-65 dBA

OEL for reference 85 dBA TWA (8-hour limit)

Key Finding:

All values were well below the 85 dBA 8-hour TWA limit, even though the sampling was not over a
full shift. Noise levels inside the room were consistent with normal office or equipment room
environments.

Third-Party Noise Assessment: Acrose Consulting Ltd.

BCRTC commissioned Acrose Consulting Ltd. to complete an independent noise survey. The full
report will be attached in the official submission. Their work included:

e Spot noise measurements

e Long-term data logging

e Noise mapping of the room

e Final report with recommendations
