He has subsequently lodged a WSBC claim and contacted Occupational Health to provide medical supporting his absence. During the first several minutes of an initial call with myself on Tuesday Jan 3 to gather further preliminary information to help support the employee, he became unexpectedly agitated, abrasive and hostile in communication to which | reminded him of the Respectful Workplace policy. After some time, the employee was able to gather some composure to allow sufficient information to be obtained. Today, the employee provided further medical supporting absence for 1 month and said the below to our Occ Health Inquiry inbox: “Here is letter from my doctor. Please direct your questions to WCB. Claim number . Please do not contact me directly.” Please kindly advise on how to proceed with communication.
