This resulted in a 33% reduction in sumatriptan usage. - In January, changed jobs to a training situation at Skytrain. The training room contained two industrial- sized servers directly behind the workstation. After the first week of exposure to the constant noise, sleep became disrupted and the migraine reduction program began decreasing in effectiveness. More small headaches and headaches at night began occurring. - Approximately two weeks into the new role, sharp stabbing pain developed in both ears, particularly the left. - This pushed migraines to a severity never previously experienced, resulting in the first emergency room visit for migraine on 01/30/2026. - Nurtec was tried for one month but insurance did not cover it. Paid extra to obtain it after the January incident when at worst. - Aimovig was discussed but never received due to insurance. - Currently stabilized. Has not required sumatriptan in a couple of weeks. - Still experiencing pain in the left ear. - Saw an otolaryngologist who suspects TMJ. Recommended daily heat application, massage, and a mouth guard at night. Currently without insurance for a mouth guard following job loss. - Currently performing daily sauna and swimming pool use, along with massage to the head, shoulders, and neck area due to tension buildup. - Neck pain and tightness currently rated 2/10. - Reports significant movements at night with spasms approximately every thirty seconds affecting the neck and hands for the first four hours of sleep, contributing to neck tension. - Magnesium citrate upsets the stomach. Has not tried riboflavin. - Reports having an autistic sensory profile and identifies sensory triggers as the root cause of migraines. Uses noise-cancelling headphones and earplugs in loud environments to manage this. - Past medical history includes peptic ulcer, migraines, depression, and urticaria.
