WCB ‘acoustic injury’ 19Jan2026. Control operator training. No previous hearing issues

Reports noise exposure from servers located behind his desk which he moved to one week prior.

Developed headaches , bilateral earache, irritability and loss of appetite. He filed a safety concern

His employer assessed nose at 56- 63db. File was closed. He also attended ER- no evidence of infection

He remains off work- reports he was demoted to rail maintenance for making a ‘vexatious work refusal.

WCB claim has been denied. He is appealing decision. Continues setraline, risperidone and trazodone.

C/o jerking movements of limbs at night- recorded himself. Has been s/b audiologist and was advised he had
‘hyperacusis.’

Has been using less headphones. Ongoing pain left ear scores 2/10. Headache resolved. He is still sleeping in a tent with
weighted blanket.

imp migraine, MDD with anxious distress. Plan c/w sertraline risperidone and trazodone. Arrange for sleep study via MSP
Not fit for GRTW at this time. Have referred to ENT and neurologist via MSP. R/v in 2 weeks

Migraine:

- Sumatriptan used for migraine management, effective when taken early.
- Sumatriptan usage reduced by 33%.

- Triple progressive glasses significantly improved migraine symptoms.

- CoQ10 taken for migraines.

- Magnesium taken for migraines, causes upset stomach.

- Riboflavin mentioned as a potential supplement for migraines.

General:
- Allegra works well, no side effects.
