expressed understanding. Ee advised
that he recently commenced Relief
Control Operator role with training on
Mon Jan 12. Full-time regular is typically
in Guideway. Ee advised that side panel
near Work station 3 is causing toxic
sound environment and noise pollution
affecting is ability to hear instructor. Ee
started experiencing migraines and ear
pain in second week of January. Ee has
attempted to use noise cancelling
earphones and changed sitting
assignment to sitting at instructor's desk
at front of classroom with nil
improvement in migraine or sensitivity to
sound. Ee advised that simply being in
the room induces his migraine due to
noise sensitivity. Ee noted that he went
to Hospital on Jan 25th to rule out an ear
infection. Family doctor has
recommended noise cancelling
earphones and sensory deprivation tank
therapy to manage symptoms. Ee's last
work day Jan 29th with medical note
supporting absence until Feb 9th. When
asked about migraine history, ee noted
having history of migraines but well
managed with medication for acute
symptoms. Ee denied any migraine in
relation to noise disturbance while
previously in Guideway. Ee has lodged
WSBC claim Monday Feb 2 and has
advised Safety dept needs to complete a
sound analysis including spectral
