5/4/26, 2:00 PM Gmail - RE: Final Response regarding Employment Status and Medical Leave — File 2026D316

Notwithstanding the foregoing, and in recognition of the fact you have advised us of an upcoming specialist appointment, BCRTC is willing to
extend the deadline for you to provide medical justification for your ongoing leave of absence until June 3, 2026 so that you can consult with your
specialist and have him or her provide an opinion to BCRTC as to your status, on the following conditions:

1. The medical opinion provided by your specialist will not simply answer the outstanding questions that we had for your physician, but rather will
provide a clear, current and credible medical opinion about your status and prospects for a return to work in the reasonably foreseeable future, with or
without a workplace accommodation. At minimum, we expect that this opinion will address: (a) whether or not you are dealing with any medical or
health matters that impact your ability to report to work and perform employment duties, whether for your own position or any other position the
employer may consider as a recover at work accommodation; (b) whether a leave of absence is medically required and, if so, its anticipated duration;
and (c) whether any accommodations are required in order to return you to work, as well as the anticipated duration of those accommodations.

2. You will, by no later than May 8, 2026 provide us with reasonable proof of your upcoming specialist appointment, for example, a confirmation from
your specialist's office that your appointment has in fact been scheduled for May 27, 2026.

A failure to provide the required information will force us to review the employment relationship between yourself and BCRTC.

Sincerely,

Kevin Payne
