Mark,

!am writing to confirm receipt of your May 1, 2026 email. Having now had the opportunity to read and consider it, | want to make a few things
clear:

¢ First, as your employer, BCRTC has the right to seek and require reasonably sufficient proof to determine whether a leave of absence is required
and/or to seek clarification when answers provided by an employee’s physician or specialist are unclear or ambiguous or where further information is
required, as is the case here.

¢ Second, BCRTC has the right to expect that employees will comply with commitments that they have made, and to follow-up when they fail to do so.
As you are aware, on April 24, 2026, you committed to providing us with a completed questionnaire by April 30, 2026 at the latest. You have clearly
failed to do so.

* Third, while | can appreciate that you have concerns relating to your work refusal, those concerns do not entitle you to refuse to communicate with
your employer.

All of this is to say that you ongoing refusal to provide us with the requested information is unjustified and impermissible, and is having the effect of
jeopardizing your employment.
